London Tube Redesigned

TFL hires London design agency to redesign underground trains...

London design agency PriestmanGoode are the team working on the new design of underground trains in a revamp costing £2.5 billion.

The lines concerned - Piccadilly, Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo & City will be enjoying a revamp inspired by "contemporary London, its culture and architectural landmarks, and iconic British transport design."

Check the video below to see for yourself the proposed cars, which feature (AT LAST!) air-conditioning, digital screens for live updates, wider doors and a new colour scheme, "derived from looking at heritage and contemporary architecture and landmarks in London." Aka pigeon doo-doo grey...!!?

The trains are due to arrive in 2016.
