Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJ Mistajam has teamed with the Snoop D-O-GG to produce a Dubstep mixtape ahead of the West Coast rap legend’s UK tour which kicks off tomorrow night. Featured on the free download are The Dogg Pound, Busta, R Kelly as well as our own Professor Green, D Double E, P Money and True Tiger “Dubstep has been on my radar for a few years now,” says Snoopy, who previously freestyled over Chase & Status's 'Eastern Jam' and also Tinie's 'Pass Out'. “I really like the hard-hitting beats of Dubstep because it compliments the real gangsta lyrics of West Coast rap. That’s why I had to team up with the U.K. homie, MistaJam because he’s the master of Dubstep…the pioneer!” Jammy himself is rather haps about the hook-up too. “When I heard Snoop was a fan of the Dubstep sound and I was approached to work on this project with him after he heard my radio show, I jumped at the chance. It’s a real testament to the worldwide strength of the UK Bass scene that I’ve been actively pushing over the past few years that the legend that is Snoop approached me to work on this project with him.
