G-Sessions Ft. Ghostpoet

 Ghostpoet takes to the decks

After a month long celebration of G-Shock's 30th anniversary, August closed with a celebration of the G-Sessions, featuring the inimitable Ghostpoet.

The G-Sessions were launched to celebrate the search for creativity by G-Shock around Europe.
G-Sessions took place at G-Shock pop-up stores in London, Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, St. Petersburg and Berlin. A leading local ambassador from each key city was chosen to commission and co-create a one-of-a-kind artistic piece inspired by the G-Shock DNA of toughness.

The winner of the G-Sessions artwork will be chosen by the G-Shock Facebook community at the Grand Finale held in Berlin on November 28th

London's pick was the Mercury Prize nominated singer and producer Ghostpoet, whose debut album received wide critical and commercial acclaim thanks to singles like the brilliantly titled Cash And Carry Me Home and crowd-stealing performances at Glastonbury and Bestival. His artistic piece will be inspired by questioning what it means to be creative.

"Creativity to me is a combination of not only thinking outside the box but also considering that the box might not be a box at all, not limiting one's thoughts. Going with what's in your gut, also come to mind," said the Coventry born musician.

Throughout the month, the Dray Walk pop-up saw performances from Cashtastic, Baby Blue, Rodney P, Show N Prove, Smiler and a DJ set from Ghostpoet and Femi Edmund Adeyemi, Ghost's NTS.
